With all the hype surrounding online network marketing, the large houses, fancy cars, and MLM business owners flashing fist-fulls of checks and cash around, it is easy to see how many would think this industry is just a scam. However, this business model is actually a very viable way to build your MLM business, and here are the facts around it.
At its core, online network marketing is no different than offline. You generate a list of prospects and leads, establish relationships with them, build trust, and introduce your business or product to them.
However, the manner in which online MLM marketing conducts business, and the venues it generates leads and presents product or business offers is vastly different.
In online network marketing, one generates leads on the internet using such venues as pay-per-click advertising, writing articles, or putting advertisements in electronic magazines. Contrast this with offline MLM where leads are often generated through your warm market via home parties, coffee shops, or through cold calling purchased leads.
Additionally, the way in which those who are now our leads are introduced to our business or product is vastly different. In traditional MLM you generally have some form of relationship with a lead generated through the warm market, you automatically have rapport with that person and can immediately begin the introduction.
However, in online network marketing, often there is a somewhat lengthy introduction period when the lead is communicated with via email, video, and audio and the relationship and trust is built over time. This entire process can be automated however, and will happen without your direct involvement once it is set-up.
As you can see, at the core, neither offline nor online network marketing are vastly different from one another, and there is no scam involved. Its just using technology to reach out to a much larger audience and automation to build trust.
