Home Based Business Success Begins And Ends With You!
Home based business success begins and ends with you. That it is the only way it will transform from what seems to be an unattainable dream to something that will enhance your life in every way possible. Anything we do in life starts and ends with us and no one else.
To often in this world it is easier to blame others for our failures than it is to take personal responsibility. But if you keep doing this, you’ll NEVER see the success you’re looking for.
I’ve spent over 2000 hours working 1-on-1 with entrepreneurs looking for home based business success, and of the 90% who aren’t seeing the results they’d like, almost 100% of them have a “blame” mentality.
If, for example, you join an opportunity and after a few weeks you haven’t been able to make any money; then the easiest thing to do is to say something like: “You told me that if I joined I’d make money, I’m not making any money, so I quit!” as opposed to saying something like “Hmmm, I joined and I’m not making any money…how can I adjust my approach to achieve the desired result?”
I remember back in 2001 when I took my first “home based business success” seminar. It was actually a seminar on real estate investing and it cost me $4,000 to attend. I spent 3 full days in the seminar room and had them pump my head full of real estate investing information. After the seminar, I commenced to make ZERO dollars as a real estate investor.
For years I blamed the people who put on the seminar. But then I got real with myself and I started asking myself the right questions. The first question I asked myself was “If there are others who attended the seminar and learned the same information I did…then why are they making money and I’m not?” Now truth be told, there are many different potential answers to this question; but the reality is that if me and someone else learned the same information, then our success or failure probably has to do with our INDIVIDUAL levels of implementation and desire to succeed. In other words, I needed to stop blaming the people who were doing the teaching and start blaming myself for my own results (or lack thereof).
As an internet marketing/home based business success consultant, I was recently on the phone with a lady who kept coming up with excuse after excuse.
While trying to talk some sense into her, I told her that the needed to not only stop blaming other people, but also, stop blaming her circumstances. I told her about a gentleman who was making $50,000 per month on the internet and how he was able to accomplish this feat even though HE WAS BLIND.
This gentleman was a perfect example of someone taking FULL responsibility for where they’re at in life. He didn’t blame anyone else and he didn’t even his circumstances (although that would have been totally legit/understandable)
So remember, home based business success begins and ends with YOU. Once you understand and accept that fact, then you’ll realize that the sky is the limit!
